| Because of their identical 91-71 records, Texas and Tampa Bay will play regular-season game No. 163 on Monday night at 8:07 p.m. ET in Texas to determine who advances to the wild-card game, which will be hosted by the Indians. The winner of that American League wild-card game will play the Red Sox, while the A's and Tigers do battle. In the National League, the Reds will travel to Pittsburgh for the wild-card game, with the winner playing the Cardinals. The Dodgers will play the Braves. |
