Just like I previously gave out the APN settings for MTN, here is the one for Glo network for the users of Glo sim to benefit from just in case they also are in need of the GLO APN settings.

Just as I usually dole out free browser tricks on MTN so do I give out for Glo if any is available. So this Glo Data settings might come in handy sometime later.

What Are The Data Settings For Glo Nigeria?

Below you can find them

To manually configure your cell phone/handset with the Glo manual Wap/Apn/Ip/internet settings,input the following parameters into the internet settings of your handset.

Profile/service name = Glowap

IP Address = 10.100.98.22

Port = 3130

Glo Wap/IP/Apn/internet settings for:

Username = wap

Password = wap

Glo internet/wap/ip/apn settings for:

Access Point Name (APN) =glowap

Home page = http://wap.gloworld.com

MTN Data Settings For Internet Browsing

Many of us have deemed it quite difficult to obtain data settings for our mobile devices because we formatted our phones or for one reason or the other, we cannot find MTN data settings on our devices and this is very necessary for browsing.

No worries from you or your friend in need of the MTN APN settings. Sometimes, this APN settings are needed for some free browsing tweaks that I give out from time to time so I just have to keep them handy for you people.

I have just culled a post from MTN Nigeria about how to configure your data settings normally or with the help of MTN themselves.

Note however that some of our telecommunication companies have activated automated ways of sending the APN settings once a new sim is placed in the mobile phone.

MTN APN Settings

Settings for MTN Data Services/Internet Browsing

Any data device that you use needs to be configured to use MTN's extensive mobile data network. Your MTN-branded USB modem or data card has already been configured so you do not have to worry about that.

If you're not using an MTN-branded device, you can request for MTN's internet browsing settings (also referred to as APN settings or packet data settings on some phones) by typing the word SETTINGS as an SMS and send to 3888, free of charge.

If your handset or device allows over-the-air updates, you will receive an SMS notifying you to save setup information that the network will send to you. Please save the settings as soon as they are delivered to your phone to avoid deleting them in error.

Also, if you currently enjoy Internet browsing using your 3.5G enabled handset on MTN's data network, chances are that your handset is already configured to use MTN's data network. You may however send SETTINGS to 3888 to be double sure!

For handsets or other devices that need to be configured manually (e.g. most Windows-based handsets), you will need to configure the data settings on your handset with the settings information provided below:

Account Name = MTN GPRS
IP Address = 10.199.212.2
Port = 9201 (for WAP) or 8080 (for HTML)
Username = web
Password = web
Access Point Name (APN) = web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

Note: The same configuration applies to GPRS and 3.5G.
