| President Obama late Wednesday signed a bipartisan bill passed by Congress that extends the nation's debt limit, avoiding the risk of default, and sends hundreds of thousands of federal employees back to work. The deal funds the government through January and allows the Treasury to borrow through early February. The measure also provides pay for the federal workers furloughed by the shutdown. |
