| Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., announced an agreement to reopen the government through Jan. 15 and extend the debt ceiling to Feb. 7. It also sets up negotiations to come up with a long-term budget deal by December. "The compromise we reached will provide our economy with the stability it desperately needs," Reid said. |
